A magnificent vintage amethyst diamond cocktail ring, boasting a large oval cut amethyst, weighing approx. 6 carats. It has a deep-purple hue and is contrasted by a bright halo of twinkling brilliant cut diamonds around the border, with SI1 clarity – H colour, approx. 1.1ct total. 

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
